Before its bankruptcy, Saul Kattan worked with one of the biggest franchises in entertainment to sell and rent movies and TV shows. Looking to make the business profitable in Colombia, Saul implemented a turn around strategy that resulted on the company being purchased inside of Colombia at its peak performance. 

• The company was restructured from the inside. Several locations were set up nationwide that implemented the new strategy and corporate philosophy. 

• Placed small bank branches, or “encomiendas” within the Blockbuster locations, managing to increase the foot-traffic and income of the company.

• Blockbuster Colombia became the main distributor of Hollywood's major film and television production companies, which reduced film costs by 50-65% and generated 2.1 million dollars as entertainment products wholesaler.

• The operation in Colombia was recognized as one of the best performning Blockbuster operations in the world. Saul was included in the Top 100 Business Leaders and Top Young Executives by the main economic publications of Colombia.
